An friend in my office just told me about a church in Kansas City that is on a mission, a complaint free world. What a novel idea. Being the eternal optimist that I am, I was all over this. They are giving out purple bracelets to people that will take the pledge to be complaint free for 21 days. Here is the idea. You put your bracelet on your wrist. If you complain, gossip or criticize you have to put the bracelet on the other wrist and start over until you get to 21 days. The have had requests for over 5 million bracelets. Find out more here....
Maybe we could use this for all negative thoughts. I almost completely gave up watching the news because I am so tired of all the negative in the news (there I go complaining). I don't want to hear how many people were killed or all the crimes that were committed (oops, I did it again). We want to hear something good for a change (third time in just one paragraph). This is harder than you think.
Life as a Realtor is not easy right now, but it isn't impossible. The market is very challenging in Florida. There are still people buying and selling homes every day. You just have to find them. If all you focus on is doom and gloom, you might as well go home. I see this as a tremendous opportunity for us full time agents. This is going to weed out all the part time agents that can't cut it. Let the professionals work!
I really try to be a very positive person and keep my head up as much as possible. I am involved with a great life coaching program through Brian Buffini and it is work to be the eternal optimist. You need a coach and someone to keep you accountable. It is a constant work in progress. I can do it and so can you!
It's a good life,
